I have been having problems with the computer light on. When checked with a diagnostic tool it reads - Crankshaft position. Camshaft Position. Correation Bank. Sensor B. I took it into my local Arnold Clark and they said that the Timing Chain had jumped and needs to be reset. They did this on August 10th at a cost of £340. The Computer light has come on again and now they are saying it needs a new Timing Chain. I pointed out that the car is only 4 years old and that the timing chain should last longer than that. They agreed. They asked Vauxhall to pay for the work but they refused and they said they would pay 30% and I would have to pay 70%. The cost now is going to be £345.62 because I have refused to pay the Fitting charge. Has anybody else had this problem. I wondered whether it should be on a Recall. They all say not.

My dad is having the same problem, 65 plate viva with 18000 miles. Arnold Clark have replaced the timing chain, but it has not got rid of the warning light and it would seem there is another issue , and they are investigating again. He has been without his car for 4 weeks! They are charging £1100?? Which seems much higher than you. What was the issue on your car and what did they do to rectify it. Would be grateful for a response. Many thanks
