What's best to use? Especially keen to get all the white polish residue off and stop the plastic from fading in the sun.

I have used the shampoo and polish that I got when I purchased my Adam. It cleaned up well.
I also have auto glym which all the family use and it's good stuff.

If you find anything else that works well on the black do let me know.

I had a little trip to Halfords at the weekend.For £8 this is an absolute bargain. Easily applied with a microfibre and a little go's pretty far. Requires little to no buffing off and any overspill is really easy to remove.

Does the autoglym stuff make the dash shiny?

Yes. Autoglym has products for specific things, so you can use it for basically every part of your car. I dont think it's too expensive and if you use it correctly it will last.
