HI ALL IM NEW MEMBER AND A NEW ADAM OWNER NEEDING SOME ADVICE PLEASE,
i bought myself a adam about 5 weeks ago, within a week i took it to a gearbox specialist as upshifting to third gear seemed notchy and sometimes a grinding feeling, upshifting to second was also notch and felt sticky, i had a call back from the specialit’s saying it drives realy nice and that they adjusted the linkage cables and greased up etc, for about a week it felt a little better, but the only way i can get it to go in to third with out grinding feeling is to start to go in but a little pause then go in to 3rd, this has helped a bit but i feel like I’m walking on eggs shells for it and even when i do i feel like it catches on something, am i missing a technic with the adams gear box? And from 1st to second gear is more often notch y and sticky- is there a technic for that too? upshifting to 4th and 5th are fine, and downshifting to 4th and 3rd is good too, downshifting to second is hit and miss, more often feels like it clangs on something before it will get there, any help would be much appreciated :)

Could be an issue with your clutch then. My mate at a garage said Adams are built very similar to Corsas and there are these links which connect the stick to the gears and apparently they go quite often that's something else that might be worth a look :)

Hope this helps

The Adam is essentially a smaller three door Corsa so most parts are interchangeable 😉
