We were at Vauxhall yesterday and we bought a jam in purple fiction, on getting home and looking into the NCAP rating for the car we were alarmed to find that our child being of a certain age and height means that the rear seats are not compatible with her (group 3 car seat) and it's actually down as critical risk. The official pdf from Vauxhall/opal claims that the car seat can't go in the front passenger seat but in the back and NCAP states it's too dangerous to have it in the back altogether, does anyone have any ideas before we look elsewhere?

Is a group 3 seat the booster cushions?Looking at the NCAP site for the Adam they are down as critical risk which is intresting as They must mean a similar thing for adults sitting in the back of the car.My understanding was if anything was recorded as being critical then a car couldnt gain its NCAP star rating. This must be why the Adam only got 4 stars. I'd have a chat with vauxhall customer services first and then maybe look elsewhere - don't talk to a dealer as they just want to keep their sale.
