I don't have stop start on mine. But my wife has it on her mini. It stops working on that if the battery is low or if the weather is Below a certain temp. Maybe it just needs a long run to recharge the battery?
I've found mine doesn't always engage, sometimes if I coast to a junction and apply the brakes softly over a large distance- it says somewhere there needs to enough braking pressure for it to work. I'm not sure if that is the reason though.
Is your ECO button lit up? I think that is something to do with it too.
I know someone with an Alfa, who says hers doesn't always work too Edited by: gillsid
Things to inhibit StopStart
Low Battery Condition
Low Engine Temp
Heater direction - Set to Screen
A/C - On (check high consumers in instruments)
Switch off - Remove key
Open Drivers Door
Close Drivers Door
Normally after approx 30miles
The engine will recalibrate
Went out in The Adam today - didn't StopStart at first
You guessed it after 15-30 mile when we came off the dual carriage way into town..
It StopStarted every time...
But I hadn't used him since last Sunday....
Just been cleaned inside and out waxed
Ready for my next mission 🚗✔
I drove my car 30 odd miles the other day and still didn't work. But it worked first time today and the only thing I've changed is the heater direction, this was set to the screen.
Only drove about 4/5 miles to the first set of traffic lights and it worked there today so it must have been the heater direction that was affecting it. Didn't realise that would stop it working.
Stop/Start will not function if you have the demister on screen (normal)
It normally recalibrates after approx 25-30 miles (normal)
If its colder than -15•c (normal)
Battery condition less than 85% (normal)
Car must achieve 8mph (normal)
Seat belts can prevent function (normal)
Engine temperature (normal)
Battery drains can prevent function (normal)
But normally in this weather very good 😎😉👍
