Hi

I swapped the factory licence plate bulbs to led ones.
They work just fine but every time I start the car the information center tells me to check the lights.

Somehow the car wont reconize them. They use less electricity and I think that could cause the problem.

The current equipped with CAN, what ever it means. (if it's relevant in any way)

Any ideas how I can get the information center to shut up?

The car has a CANBUS system which checks the voltages of each bulb and if they don't meet the expected voltage then it throws and error. You will need to find some LED bulbs that are resisted to the correct level to prevent the error

It is the same with LED indicator bulbs. The flash speed is related to resistance, hence when a bulb blows your indicators flash like mad. To correct it you just need to load the circuit with the correct resistance

anyone found any LED numberplate lights that don't show a error code on the dash. Mine works fine some days, but i just cancel the message when I put my main lights on in the dark.
