The Vauxhall Adam Rocks, unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, will make it into production by this time next year to rival the Fiat 500C and Citroen DS3 Cabrio, according to Vauxhall insiders.

The convertible concept based on Vauxhall's recently launched Adam city car features a roll back canvas roof, plus a raised ride height and chunky body kit to give it some SUV style. There's a revised grille at the front, plus a 40mm wider track in addition to the 50mm higher ride height.
The canvas roof only rolls back as far as the hatchback, unlike its Fiat and Citroen rivals. This leaves the standard hatch door intact and doesn't compromise luggage space or rear visibility, unlike the 500C and DS3 Cabrio.
There'll be plenty of scope for personalisation of the Adam Rocks, as there is with the standard car which boasts around 30,000 different trim, colour and body style combinations.
The Adam's clever intelliLink infotainment system will also feature a weather app that will automatically close the roof if rain is predicted. Vauxhall also announced full integration of Apple's Siri personal assistant for iPhone users in the Adam at the Geneva show.
Although the rugged Rocks showcased the convertible's canvas roof, the convertible option isn't expected to be limited to a production version of the Rocks. Expect it to become an option on all Adam versions from next year, too.

Interesting news indeed.I wonder how they will spec the Cabrio, will it be a stand alone model or an option on any Adam? In which case, how will that work with Glam spec cars with the glass roof as standard?Looks like the new car wish list has just got yet longer and further away ... Glam3 cylinderwith Cabrio roof. Hope my current car will keep going while I have to wait 12 months or more.Adam
