Vauxhall will unveil a crossover-convertible concept version of the Adam at the Geneva show

Vauxhall has announced it will reveal a new concept version of the Adam at the Geneva Motor Show next month. Called the Adam Rocks, it previews future variants of Vauxhall's trendy city car like a soft-top and a crossover.
With a ride-height that's 15mm higher and rugged black plastic cladding around the wheelarches and bumpers, the Rocks has the kind of mini-SUV looks to rival cars like the VW up!-based Taigun concept. Unlike the Taigun, though, the Rocks has a convertible roof that peels back like the set-up used on the Fiat 500C and Citroen DS3 Cabrio.

We're not expecting to see a crossover version arriving any time soon but Vauxhall insiders have confirmed that a production version of the Adam convertible has already been finalized. We expect to see it towards the end of this year, or possibly early 2014.

Malcolm Ward, Vauxhall/Opel Lead Design Director said: “As a symbol for fashion-led, active drivers wanting to stand out from the crowd, Adadm Rocks is just one possible answer to the question of how new development paths for this unique car could be forged.”
